Severe arterial circulatory disorders

We deem severe arterial circulatory disorders (e.g. gangrene of the feet in diabetics, ‘smoker’s leg’) to be contraindications.

This is because EMS training increases muscle tone of even the indirectly affected muscles and can therefore lead to an imbalance between oxygen supply and oxygen demand in under supplied tissue regions.

Under certain circumstances, this could lead to a general deterioration of the overall condition. Tip: If you want to do training, then please consult with your doctor and submit a letter of consent.
